Our Christ Chapel family is dedicated to serving the needs of our community and our church body. It does so through the dedicated service and direction provided by our committees and boards, including Elders, Trustees, Evangelism, Finance, Hospitality and Missions.

To best meet the individual needs of our congregation, Christ Chapel is divided into four Flock Districts. Flock Districts are determined by zip code, and each district is provided oversight by two Elders. Elders are available for prayer, consultation, information and other needs.

Russell Boles, Jr. MD Elder for Flock District 3
Birthplace: Philadelphia, PA
Marital Status: Married to Margaret
Children: Four grown children: Russell, Elizabeth Gutterson, Margaret Fitzgerald and Douglas (deceased 2000); and nine grandchildren.
Years as a believer: I have attended Christ Chapel since 1987 and have been a believer as long as I can remember.
Occupation: Retired MD, maintains license to practice medicine. Board - Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology; Staff & Trustee at NE Baptist Hospital; Staff at NE Deaconess Hospital.
My prayer/desire for Christ Chapel: To be an effective, evangelical, interdenominational church on Cape Cod. As an Elder, my desire is to support the Pastoral staff and oversee the various functions of the church including fostering unity and fellowship in our church.

My prayer/desire for Christ Chapel:My desire for Christ Chapel is that we would all submit ourselves to the authority of Jesus Christ through the daily practice of prayer and Bible reading. Joy and wisdom would abound; God would be glorified.

Years as a believer: I have been a believer for 58 years.
Occupation: Retired Civil Service (Research Supply Technician); pastored a church in Hyannis for 5 years; served 5 years as Assistant Pastor at New Life Christian Church in New Bedford prior to coming to Christ Chapel.
My prayer/desire for Christ Chapel: My prayer for Christ Chapel is that the Word of God will permeate our very being and that we will be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And, walking in obedience to His commands, bearing fruit in every good work (Col 1:9).

My prayer/desire for Christ Chapel: My prayer for Christ Chapel is to encourage believers to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ…2 Peter 3:18, and to give Him all the Glory. My personal goal is that God would continue to guide me “as I go.” My desire is to be His disciple and to disciple others.

Occupation: Principal Sales Consultant with Oracle Corporation.
My prayer/desire for Christ Chapel: For us as a body of believers to be a praying church, a witness to our community, and a source of strength and encouragement to each other.
John Hotchkiss Elder for Flock District 4

Occupation: I have been involved with computers for over 20 years and am the Systems Manager for Enterprise Publishing, publisher of the Enterprise newspapers in Falmouth, Bourne, Mashpee, and Sandwich.
My prayer/desire for Christ Chapel: To increase the overall knowledge of the Bible and Church history among our adult members, specifically by providing more and better educational activities and resources.
Peter Klenert Elder for Flock District 4

Years as a believer: Friday, 12 AUG 77 @ 6:45 p.m., my spiritual birthday, a time and event I will never forget.

My prayer/desire for Christ Chapel: My prayer / desire for Christ Chapel: is that we individually develop and grow the “habit of thankfulness”. We are creatures of habit, and at the top of idiosyncratic features ought to be a thankful heart. It does come naturally. It must be practiced and shared with others. Secondly, I’ve been mulling over the issue of “faith”. What is it? How do we get it? How do we keep it? How can we get more, etc. Community is a big key; and the idea of “faith borrowing” is germinating in my mind. The idea of helping others in faith struggles by lending them some of our own. There’s more to come, ask me about it when you see me.

Years as a believer: I grew up in a wonderful Christian home and invited Jesus into my heart while attending Boys Camp at Camp Berea. Started at Christ Chapel in 1980.
Occupation: Owner/partner of America's Cup Charters, Newport, RI. A yacht charter and management company specializing in former America's Cup 12 Metre racing yachts. Vice President, International 12 Metre Association. Merchant Marine Captain.
My prayer/desire for Christ Chapel: To live in a close relationship with my Lord. To be about His business with my family, friends and church. As your Elder, may I be an encouragement, an example, a humble servant and protector of what our Lord has entrusted to us, His gospel. "According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life or by death." ~ Philippians 1:20 KJV
